100,000th SMART Board™ Interactive Whiteboard Milestone Celebrated, Warranty Extended to Five Years

Calgary, AB --- January 8, 2003 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces the shipment of its 100,000th SMART Board interactive whiteboard, a milestone that clearly identifies SMART as the global market leader.
To mark the achievement, SMART also announces an extension of the limited warranty on the SMART Board 500 series interactive whiteboards from three to five years upon completion of product registration. SMART is the only interactive whiteboard manufacturer to offer a complete five-year limited warranty. All components of the SMART Board interactive whiteboard, as well as software upgrades, are included in the limited warranty.
